Dôme Trail

Length: 7.8 kilometers, loop (10.3 kilometers by adding the Orignal and the Saint-Michel summits)
Difificulty: Intermediate

Access: via the parking lot on Route 381 at km 23.2, both in summer and winter.

The Sentier du Dôme is located in an area well-known to climbing enthusiasts (activity charged by Zec des Martes), both in summer and winter. Easily accessible year-round from Route 381, 2 kilometers from Mont du Lac-des-Cygnes, the Sentier du Dôme offers a great alternative for hiking on a much less crowded trail.

A sumptuous alpine landscape awaits you with a bonus view of Baie-Saint-Paul and the St. Lawrence estuary.

The switchback ascent allows you to become familiar with a regenerating forest that fell victim to flames in 1991.

Two magnificent chalets, the Dôme and the Eudore (18 and 14 places), can be rented at La Traversée de Charlevoix.

CAUTION: Mandatory registration at the La Traversée de Charlevoix office or at the trail entrance (forms available on-site).
