Cadot and Button Trail

The Cadot and Button Trail: This trail is a short loop with a distance of 5.4 km (+7 km from the parking lot) via Lac à l’Écluse (or 14.3 km via the Dôme trailhead), ideal for late arrivals (for hikers with accommodation reservations). Starting from the Jean-Pierre Cadot chalet, you quickly reach a beautiful viewpoint.

AAccess via Zec des Martres entrance:

At km 26.8 on Route 381. The parking lot is located 500 meters behind the Zec des Martres welcome center.

Zec requires an access fee of $14.35 per vehicle for using the road leading to Lac-à-l’Écluse where the trail begins (you can travel on the road, but parking at Lac-à-L’Écluse is not allowed). There is also a $6 fee for the mandatory parking located 3.5 km from the trailhead. Parking at Lac-à-l’Écluse is prohibited if you do not have a permit. The fees do not cover the maintenance of the hiking trails supported by our organization. We suggest a contribution of $7 per person for using our trails.

Tip: To reach the trailhead more quickly, bring your bike (dirt road, be cautious)!

Access via the Dôme parking:

Parking at Km 23.2 of the 381 road.

It is mandatory to self-register at the designated kiosk. You do not have to pay any fees to the Zec for the hike since you are not using their road. Though we suggest a contribution of $7 to our organization for trail maintenance.
