Support group for activities of La Traversée de Charlevoix
La Traversée de Charlevoix is managed by a non-profit organization dedicated for 44 years now to the development and promotion of outdoor activities in the backcountry region of Charlevoix .
La Traversée de Charlevoix develops and maintains over 188 kilometers of short and long hiking trails as well as 13 cabins, permitting hiking and mountain biking in the summer and skiing and snowshoeing in the winter.
The Traverse operates year-round and provides several services upon request, such as equipment and food transportation.
A committment to the future of outdoor activities in Charlevoix
You can contribute to achieving the goals of La Traversée by providing financial support to its development plans and/or by getting involved in maintenance work.
Volunteer work is occasionally organized for trail maintenance, marking, or for the maintenance and replenishing of firewood in the cabins. The major work is already carried out by the organization’s employees.
La Traversée always combines pleasure and work during its volunteer efforts, which are also excellent opportunities for friendly exchanges, outdoor experiences, and travel memories that enrich the lives and knowledge of the participants.
You are free to choose whether or not to participate in volunteer efforts. To join the Club, simply pay the annual membership fee.
The funds collected will be used to maintain existing equipment and develop future projects.
Benefits of the Club Membership
To thank you for your support, a Club membership for the year 2024 includes:
The contribution fee for unlimited access to daily hiking trails for the current year* (does not include access fees for the road network payable to Zec des Martres);
Additionally, by paying your annual membership before March 31, 2024, you will also be entitled to:
- 10% discount on individual overnight stays in shared cabins;
- 5% discount for one member on the base price of overnight stays in cabins for exclusive occupancy, or a maximum of 10% discount on the base price of overnight stays if more than one member shares the same reservation.

Supporting member
You can also become a supporting member by contributing a higher amount at your discretion.
Sponsorship
Members, if they wish, can take charge of patrolling and/or maintaining a trail.
Volounteer work
Members will also be invited to participate in volunteer efforts organized by La Traversée for cleaning, trail marking, cabin repairs, or spring and fall firewood efforts. Invitations will be sent via email and posted on the Club’s Facebook group, to which you will be invited to join upon membership.
